Abstract
The Six Sigma project has been considered as a business strategy that employs a well-structured and continuous improvement methodology. It is useful to tackle process variability and drive out waste from the process with the application of statistical tools and techniques in a rigorous manner. But the study about the Six Sigma project does not go beyond case study. And empirical models for field firms have not been developed. In this paper, an analysis is made of the relation between the Six Sigma project tools and various performance using empirical data. This research has led us that there is an indirect effect path from customer needs exploring tools to ultimate performance (innovation performance and financial performance). Furthermore, proposed model is superior to various alternative models by the degree of parsimony and fit index..
