본 연구의 목적은 기술혁신형 기업과 경영혁신형 기업의 경영성과를 비교하고, 그 성과에 영향을 주는 요인이 서로 다를 것이라는 가설을 검정하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경영성과 변수로는 노동생산성, 영업이익, 매출액을 고려하였다. 독립변수로는 연구개발비, 자산규모, 부채비율, 자기자본비율, 영업레버리지도 등 총 7가지의 변수를 선정하였다. 먼저, 기술혁신형 기업과 경영혁신형 기업의 경영성과의 차이를 비교하기 위해 t-test를 실시하였고, 그 결과 노동생산성과 매출액의 차이가 존재하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 차이를 발생시키는 구체적인 원인을 파악하기 위해 회귀분석을실시하였으며, 기술혁신형 기업과 경영혁신형 기업의 회귀직선이 구조적인 차이를 가지고 있음을 통계적으로 검정하였다. 이는 혁신의 유형에 따라 경영성과에 미치는 요인이 달라지게 됨을 의미하는 것이다. 따라서 경영성과를 높이기 위해서는 목표로 하는 혁신의 유형에 따라 상이한 접근이 필요하다는 결과를 도출할 수 있게 된 것이다. 그러므로 본 연구는 기업의 혁신활동을 통한 성과 향상의 방향성 제시에 도움을 주게 될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The objective of this research is to compare the management performances and the determinants with moderating effect of innovation types. This research employed the management performance variables as labour productivity, operating profit, and sales. The independent variables are asset-counted R&D investment, cost-counted R&D investment, R&D to sales ratio, total asset, debt to equity ratio, capital adequacy ratio, and degree of operating leverage. And we considered two types of innovation, those are technology innovation and management innovation. This research employed t-test to compare the management performances between technology innovation and management innovation companies. The results show that the labour productivity and sales except operating profit have significant differences. And we find that the determinants are different by innovation types with regression models. This paper suggests that the different approach is necessary to improve management performance with the two types of innovation. It could be a good guideline to the direction of performance improvement in innovation companies.
