초록
As the size and weight of blades increase with the recent trend toward larger wind turbines, it is important to ensure the structural integrity of blades. For this reason, blades are made using composite material that is lighter and has high specific stiffness and specific strength. A composite blade consists of upper and lower skins that receive the load directly, a shear web that supports the two skins, and a spar cap that connects the skin and the shear web. Loads generated during operation of the wind turbine can cause debonding damage to spar cap–shear web joints. Debonding damage may induce structural instability of the blade in operation. Therefore, there is a need for a technique to detect debonding damage. The damage detection method mainly uses vibration behavior. However, since vibration behavior is generally acquired by using a contact sensor, there is a limit where there is a difference in structure or it is difficult to attach. In this study, the vibration behavior of a 20 kW class blade was analyzed using a non-contact sensor. The results were compared with data from an accelerometer and strain gauge to ensure the suitability of the PRT sensor and a high-speed camera for vibration behavior measurement for the composite blade.
