청소년 기업가정신 교육 추진실태와 발전과제 : 선진국 사례 벤치마킹을 중심으로

Abstract

It is important to cultivate entrepreneurship in order to enhance the vitality of our economy and create jobs. In order for entrepreneurship to take an active role, it is necessary to create a virtuous cycle entrepreneurial ecosystem. In particular, systematic entrepreneurship education should be included in the curricula of elementary and secondary schools in order to find high quality entrepreneurs. To this end, the Korean government has been operating various programs for developing entrepreneurial spirit since the 2000s. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups has been operating the Youth Biz-cool since 2002 to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship. In recent years, the Ministry of Education has incorporated entrepreneurship education into regular education, and the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family have also set up separate programs for youth entrepreneurship education. Since the early 2000s, the number of youth entrepreneurship education initiatives led by the government has expanded quantitatively. However, youth entrepreneurship education programs are systematically and qualitatively lower than those in advanced countries. The major EU member states have decided to promote entrepreneurship through education through the Oslo Agenda (2006), and systematically provide entrepreneurship education. In the United States, entrepreneurship education for adolescents is administered in regular curricula, after-school education and special programs. Japan also has programs that are linked to each level of education. In order to enhance the quality and effectiveness of entrepreneurship education in the future, it is necessary to prepare an agenda for entrepreneurship education, to strengthen the systematization and linkages of entrepreneurship education content, to provide entrepreneurship education focused on experience and to expand the educational infrastructure.
