젊은 세대의 문화성향이 노인에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향 : 노인에 대한 지식의 조절효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 젊은 세대의 문화성향이 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고, 문화성향이 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는데 노인의 지식수준의 조절효과를 검증한 후, 분석결과를 근거로 젊은 세대와 노인세대 간의 연령통합 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 조사대상자는 20·30대 412명이며, 분석방법은 계층적 회귀분석방법을 사용하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상자의 노인에 대한 태도는 중립적 수준이며, 노인에 대한 지식수준은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 연령이 낮을수록 노인에 대한 태도가 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조사대상자들의 문화성향을 보면 수직적 집단주의는 노인에 대한 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 수평적 개인주의 문화성향은 조절변수인 노인에 대한 지식과의 상호작용효과에 의해서 노인에 대한 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 근거로 젊은 세대가 노인세대에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 가질 수 있는 방안을 문화성향별로 제안하였다. 수평적 개인주의의 경우는 노인에 대한 지식정도를 강화하는 교육기회의 확대를 제안하였고, 수평적 집단주의에 대해서는 노인에 대한 태도의 긍정적인 변화를 기대할 수 있는 세

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of cultural disposition on the attitudes toward older people and to examine the moderating effect of knowledge levels about the elderly in the process that cultural dispositions affect on the attitudes toward the elderly. Using data from 412 participants(aged 20-39) in Busan and Gimhae, Hierarchical Regression model was tested. Based on the results of this analysis, we proposed alternatives of age integration between young and old generations. The main results of this study is as follows, First, It was found that the attitudes toward the elderly were medium level, the knowledge about the elderly was low, and the attitudes toward the elderly was positive as the age was low. Second, Vertical collectivism positively influenced attitudes towards the elderly in the four cultural dispositions. Third, Horizontal individualism has no major effect on attitudes towards the elderly, but Horizontal individualism positively influenced attitudes toward older people when interacting with knowledge about the elderly. Based on the results of this analysis, this study suggests alternatives that can have a positive attitude toward the elderly according to younger generation's cultural dispositions. In the horizontal individualism, we have proposed education program that enhance the knowledge about the elderly.
