희귀·난치성 질환자의 심리사회적 건강에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

희귀·난치성 질환자들에 대한 그동안의 접근은 의료적 개입이 중심을 이루고 있어, 그들이 겪고 있는 심리사회적 어려움은 간과되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 희귀·난치성 질환자의 심리사회적 건강 상태와 심리사회적 건강에 영향을 주는 요인들을 파악하여 사회복지적 함의를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 성인 희귀·난치성 질환자 324명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 분석 결과, 희귀·난치성 질환자들의 심리사회적 건강 상태는 중간수준 이하였으며, 이에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 결혼상태, 구직시 차별경험 유무, 직업유무, 사회활동지장정도가 가장 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 희귀·난치성 질환자들이 안정된 가정환경일수록, 구직시 차별을 경험하지 않을수록, 직업이 있을수록, 사회활동지장정도가 적을수록 그들의 심리사회적 건강 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 희귀·난치성 질환자를 위한 취업 지원, 사회활동에서 불편을 줄일 수 있는 재활 및 지원 프로그램, 가족 부담을 줄일 수 있는 직·간접적인 지원체계가 시급히 마련되어야 할 것을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find affecting elements on the socio-psychological wellbeing of people with the rare and intractable disorder. This research was conducted with 342 patients with rare and intractable disorder. The result of study calculated psychological wellbeing, which was estimated in order of medical approach, family structure, social support and stigma, and economic sufficiency. This research has its meaning in that it dealt with not only medical assistance but also the socio-psychological support system taking into consideration characteristics of social welfare policy for the people with the rare and intractable disorder. And this research was significant in demonstrating that the concept of socio- psychological wellbeing is the most important notion to explain the welfare policy needs of people with rare and intractable disorder and other disabled people.
