국외 발달장애 가족의 정신건강 증진 프로그램 연구동향 및 중재요소 고찰: 우울감을 중심으로

본 연구는 국외 발달장애 가족들 대상 우울감을 중심으로 하는 정신건강 증진 프로그램의 연구동향을 분석하고 중재요소를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2010년도 기준으로 2023년까지 발표된 국외 학술지 논문 중 발달장애 가족의 정신건강 증진을 목적으로 하는 중재 프로그램 논문을 선정하였다. 선정 및 배제 준거에 따라 선정된 총 13편의 논문을 대상으로 출판연도, 연구방법, 연구 대상자 특성, 종속변인, 중재 프로그램 특성 및 효과크기 등을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 연구는 여러 연도에 걸쳐 여러 대륙에서 이루어지고 있었다. 또한 중재 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하는 연구설계의 특성 상 진실험설계가 주를 이루었다. 가족 정신건강 증진 프로그램은 대체적으로 영유아기 또는 학령기 자녀의 어머니를 대상으로 진행되었다. 더불어 프로그램은 마음챙김 훈련 및 인지행동치료를 기반으로 개발되었으며 주로 대그룹의 형태로 이루어졌다. 하지만 회기는 10회기 미만으로 짧은 경향을 나타내었다. 마지막으로 대체적으로 높은 효과크기를 보고해 가족의 우울감에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 발달장애 가족의 정신건강 증진 프로그램 개발 및 실천에 있어 서비스 및 정책 개발 및 후속 연구에 시사하는 바를 도출하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the research trends of mental health promotion programs focusing on depression among families of individuals with developmental disabilities and to examine intervention components. To achieve this, academic journal articles published from 2010 to 2023, aimed at promoting the mental health of families of individuals with developmental disabilities, were selected. A total of 13 articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and their publication year, methods, characteristics of research subjects, dependent variables, characteristics of intervention programs, and effect sizes were analyzed. The results indicated that research was conducted across multiple years and continents. Further, experimental designs were conducted due to the nature of validating the effectiveness of intervention programs. Family mental health promotion programs were generally targeted at mothers of infants or school-aged children and were developed based on mindfulness training and cognitive-behavioral therapy, mostly conducted in group settings. However, the sessions tended to be short, with fewer than 10 sessions on average. Lastly, these programs showed a high effect size in reducing family depression. Based on the findings, implications for service and policy and research were derived based on the development and implementation of mental health promotion programs for families of individuals with developmental disabilities.
