본 연구는 가정폭력피해여성이 폭력으로부터 벗어나는 과정에서 겪는 성장 경험을 이해하여 그 의미와본질을 알아보는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 10명의 여성을 선정하여 심층면접을 하였으며, Giorgi의 기술적현상학적 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 폭력에 머물렀던 시기의 구성요소는 “‘나’는 없는 헌신적삶”과 ‘폭력의 굴레를 벗어나기 위해 애씀’이었으며, 폭력을 떠난 후 쉼터생활에서의 구성요소는 ‘삶을 되돌아봄: 나는 왜 여기에 있는가?’ 와 “세상과 소통하며 ‘나’를 찾아감”이었다. 쉼터 퇴소 후 생활에 대한 구성요소는 ‘확고한 자립의지’와 ‘되찾은 행복한 삶’ 등이었다. 이를 바탕으로 가정폭력으로부터 벗어난 후의 삶의 질 제고를 위해서 직업훈련의 다양성, 쉼터 프로그램의 다양성, 쉼터퇴소여성에 대한 후속 관리 등을 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and the essence of women’s growth experiences in the process deviates from domestic violence. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 domestic violence survivors using Giorgi’s phenomenological research. As a result, the components of the time stayed violence were “‘l’ dose not exist, devoted life’ and ‘painstaking in order to escape the cycle of violence’. The components of shelter life after violence were ‘reflecting of my life: why I am here’, “communicating with the world and finding a sense of ‘I’”. The components of life after leaving the shelter were ‘unbending independent spirit’ and ‘recovered a happy life’. Thus, this study’s recommendations were the diversity of vocational training, the diversity of shelter’s program, and follow-up management on women left the shelter.
