Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze and discuss cases centering on the growth process and conflict with mothers of adolescents with eating disorders. This study derives the main concept by using qualitative analysis method based on counseling word record and counseling recording acquired in counseling process centered on client and mother. The results of this study are as follows. The factors related to eating disorders in the client's growth were potential factors found in infancy, early childhood, late childhood, incidence factors occurring in early and late adolescents, and retention factors in late adolescents. Conflict factors with the mother related to the client's eating disorder confirmed the client's own loneliness, shaded independence due to emotional separation from mother, and lack of communication. Based on these findings, counseling for adolescents with eating disorders suggested the need to intervene in the context of conflict with mothers. In addition, a broad study on the related factors of adolescents' low self-esteem and eating disorders was proposed.
