The purpose of this study was to identify the awareness of CCTV installation and operation in early childhood educational institutions among their directors and teachers. To this end, we conducted a survey of 513 daycare and kindergarten directors and teachers in North Jeolla Province. We performed frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test and cross-tabulation analysis using SPSS Statistics 22.0. The results from our analysis of the awareness of CCTV installation and operation in terms of general background variables revealed that directors showed greater awareness of the necessity of CCTV installation as well as higher satisfaction levels with its installation and operation than teachers. In addition, as a result of our analysis of CCTV improvement measures, we found that directors had a more positive perception of CCTV improvement plans than teachers did.
