심리적 독립과 애착 및 상호의존이 진로미결정에 미치는 영향: 직업적 자아개념을 매개로

본 연구는 안정애착, 불안애착, 심리적 독립 및 상호의존이 직업적 자아개념을 매개로 진로미결정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 진로미결정을 경험하는 대학생들의 심리적 독립, 애착의 영향을 살펴본 기존의 연구들을 바탕으로 심리적 독립 및 애착의 가족관련 변인과 더불어서 문화관련 변인인 상호의존의 상대적 역할을 함께 보고자 하였다. 또한 이들 독립변인들과 진로미결정 사이를 매개하는 직업적 자아개념의 매개효과를 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 남자 286명, 대학생 여자 255명의 자료를 분석하였다. 진로미결정 종속변인을 단일차원으로 보지 않고 전반적 미결정, 발달적 미결정 및 만성적 미결정으로 따로 보아 종속변인의 특성에 따른 독립변인과 매개변인의 영향을 구분하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 각각의 종속변인에 대해 중다회귀분석을 통한 매개효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 종속변인이 전반적 미결정일 때 직업적 자아개념이 안정애착과 전반적 미결정을 완전히 매개하였다. 또한 종속변인이 만성적 미결정일 때에는 직업적 자아개념이 안정애착과 불안애착 및 상호의존을 부분적으로 매개하였다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 진로상담의 실제에서 효과적인 변별진단과 변별처치에의 적용 가능성을 살펴보았다. 또한 본 연구의 제한점을 살펴보고 후속연구를 제안하였다.

Abstract

This study examined whether the effects of psychological separation, attachment and interdependence on career indecision are mediated by vocational self-concept crystallization. On the base of previous studies of culture-related variable, interdependence variable was added in this study of the relation between family-related variables and career indecision. A survey was conducted with 286 male and 255 female university students. Dependent variable was divided into three variables－global indecision, developmental indecision, and chronic indecisiveness－ to clear up the relative effects of independent variables and mediator variable on career indecision. Multiple regression analysis was carried out to clarify these effects. Attachment security was related to global indecision and this relationship was fully mediated by vocational self-concept crystallization. Additionally, attachment security, attachment anxiety, and interdependence effects on chronic indecisiveness were partially mediated by vocational self-concept crystallization. Implications for career counselling, limitations and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
