본 연구는 장기수용자들의 가족관계 스트레스 감소를 위해 가족관계증진 프로그램을 실시하고 그 효과성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 효과 검증을 위해 본 연구에서는 문화기술적 연구방법을 활용하여 관찰과 3회의 면담을 통해 장기수용자들이 지각하는 스트레스를 분석하고 스트레스의 변화를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 한 교도소의 수용자 1283명을 대상으로 8가지의 자격 요건에 충족되는 장기수용자 9명을 목적성 유층 표집하여 선정하였다. 본 실험은 2007년 8월 11일부터 12일까지 1회 60분씩 총 9회기의 프로그램을 집중적으로 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 장기수용자들이 지각하는 가족관계 스트레스는 배우자관계와 자녀관계 스트레스로 구분이 되고, 각각의 스트레스는 의사소통부족, 친밀감 및 신뢰감 부족, 가족역할 부족의 3영역과 각 영역별로 3～4개의 세부영역으로 분석이 되었으며, 둘째, 가족관계증진 프로그램은 장기수용자들이 지각하는 대부분의 배우자 및 자녀 관계 스트레스를 감소시켜 주는 것으로 확인이 되었고, 셋째, 프로그램실시 1년 후에 진행된 면담에서 장기수용자들의 배우자 및 자녀 관계 스트레스를 지속적으로 감소시켜 주는 효과가 있는 것으로 확인이 되었다. 그러므로 본 가족관계증진 프로그램은 장기수용자들의 가족관계 스트레스를 감소시키는데 효과적임이 입증되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of conducting a family relationship promotion program to reduce family relationship stress of long-term prisoners. To verify the effectiveness, this study analyzed stress acknowledged by long-term prisoners through observation and 3 interviews and identified changes in stress using an ethnographical research method. The participants of this study were 9 long-term prisoners who satisfied 8 requirements among total 1,283 prisoners in a prison through finality stratified sampling. In the experiment, 9 times of program was intensively carried out between 11/08/2007 and 12/08/2007 with 60 minutes in each time. The findings of this study are as followings; First, the family relationship stress acknowledged by the long-term prisoners was classified by the stresses of marital and children relationship, and both stresses were analyzed in three areas (lack of communication, lack of attachment and trust and lack of family roles) and 4 sub-areas in each area. Second, it was identified that the family relationship enhancement program reduced most of the marital and children stress acknowledged by the long-term prisoners, especially the stress caused by the lack of attachment and trust including limitation on physical contact. Third, it was shown at the interviews held one year after the program was conducted that the program had effects on continuous reduce in the marital and children stress of the long-term prisoners.
