이 연구는 학업상담의 기초연구로 지금까지 수행된 학업성취도 결정요인에 관한 논의와 학생들이 호소하는 학업문제 내용에 대한 분류 시도의 내용을 정리해 보고, 이를 바탕으로 가능한 유형 분류체계를 잠정적으로 제안해 보는 것을 목적으로 삼았다. 학업성취도 결정요인에 대한 연구는 그 범위와 분량이 많아서, 학업성취 결정요인에 대한 포괄적인 개관 또는 종합분석을 시도한 연구물을 중심으로 그 내용을 살펴보았다. 학업문제 유형분류의 연구는 우리나라 청소년들의 학업문제를 조력하기 위한 기초연구로 제안된 연구물을 종합해 보았다. 이를 통해, 학업상담에서 빈번하게 다루어지는 호소문제와 학습부진 요인을 각각 종합하여 각 15가지씩의 범주를 나눌 수 있었다. 최종적으로 이 연구에서는 호소문제의 축과 학습부진 요인 축으로 하는 이차원적 분학업문제 유형분류류 모형을 제안하였다.
Abstract
In the rapidly changing society, the needs for counseling for personal psychological adjustment are ever increasing. To meet this needs, the practitioners in counseling have continuously pursued the ways to find out the way for the differential diagnosis and the differential treatment for more efficient therapy. This study focused on students' academic achievement difficulties and counseling services for them. Based on two-way classification scheme suggested Berezin(1957), a new taxonomy of academic achievement difficulties for Korean students was developed. The two dimension scheme consisted of both problem and cause. To do this, literatures in the predictors of academic achievement and the taxonomy of academic achievement difficulties were reviewed. Based on the literature review, each category for each dimension(problem and cuase) was selected and a new taxonomy of academic achievement difficulties for Korean students was suggested.
