우연의 영향력에 대한 지각의 차이가 진로스트레스, 진로미결정 및 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 진로 상담 분야에서 새로운 관심사로 떠오른 우연과 관련하여, 연구 1에서는 진로 결정에 있어서의 긍정적 우연 지각과 부정적 우연 지각이 진로스트레스, 진로미결정 및 진로결정자기효능감과 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아보았다. 연구 2에서는 진로형성에 우연이 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 사실을 인식시키는 동영상 교육을 통해 우연에 대한 긍정적인 지각 변화가 진로스트레스, 진로미결정 및 진로결정자기효능감에 어떤 영향을 주는지 살펴보았다. 연구 1의 결과, 우연에 대한 부정적인 지각만이 진로미결정과 진로결정자기효능감에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 우연의 긍정적인 지각과 부정적인 지각이 정적 상관관계에 있음이 밝혀졌다. 연구 2의 분석 결과, 우연에 대한 긍정적인 지각의 향상은 진로 관련 변인들에 유의미한 영향을 주지 못한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 진로 상담 현장에서 우연의 영향력이 어떻게 이해되어야 하는지 논의하였다.

Abstract

This set of studies is incited by the concept of happenstance which nowadays being a rising concern in the field of career counseling. Study 1 explores relationships among career-related variables; perceiving happenstance effects within making career decision as positive one and negative one, career stress, career indecision, and career decision making self efficacy. Study 2 examines how the changing the view in perception on the happenstance into positive way affects career stress through education in a form of video clip affects, career indecision, and career decision making self efficacy. Result of study 1 shows there be no significant influence of positive perception on happenstance decreasing career stress, career indecision score, and enhancing career decision making self efficacy, but only negative perception significantly affects career indecision and career decision making self efficacy. It also shows that perceiving happenstance effects on career as a positive one and perceiving them as a negative one have positive correlation. As a result of study 2, encouraging positive perception on happenstance effects was found out not to have any significant influence on variables related to the career. Based on the results, it is discussed about that how the power of happenstance effects should be understood in the career counseling field.
