본 연구에서는 일반청소년과 절도청소년의 심리ㆍ사회적 특성을 비교하였다. 이에 따라 절도청소년의 절도행위 성향을 분류하고, 자아존중감, 부모양육태도, 학교적응유연성에 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 절도 현행범 또는 절도죄로 긴급 체포된 청소년들 중, 법적처벌 대신 상담 프로그램 참여명령을 받은 절도청소년 177명이었다. 비교 분석 대상의 일반청소년은 경남 소재의 중ㆍ고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년 123명이었다. 측정도구는 절도행위 성향 척도, 자아존중감 척도, 부모양육태도 척도, 학교적응유연성 검사를 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 절도청소년과 일반청소년의 심리ㆍ사회적 특성에는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 절도청소년의 절도행위 성향은 절도몰입군, 절도충동군, 충동잠재군, 심적불안군으로 유형화할 수 있었다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 부모양육태도는 군집에 따라 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 넷째, 학교적응유연성은 심적불안군, 절도몰입군, 절도충동군이 높았으며, 충동잠재군이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과에 대한 논의 및 함의를 기술하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to classify the theft tendency of adolescents. Subjects of the study consisted of 177 adolescents who were ordered to join the counseling program instead of being subject to legal punishment from among adolescents who were caught in the act of theft or were arrested without a warrant for theft. As for instruments, the study employed the theft tendency scale, self-esteem scale, parenting scale, and a school adjustment resilience test. The research results include the following: a) self-esteem, parenting, and school adjustment resilience in the theft adolescent and there were differences between the general adolescent, b) the study confirmed the validity of the theft tendency scale, c) the study was able to classify theft tendency into an engrossed group, an impulsive group, a latent-impulsive group, and an anxiety group, d) it was found that there was no significant difference in self-esteem and parenting according to cluster, e) school adjustment resilience appeared to be the highest in the anxiety group, the engrossed group, and the impulsive group, and appeared to be the lowest in the latent-impulsive group. Based on these findings, implications on future research were discussed.
