초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국 문화에 바탕을 둔 정서표현양가성 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 최해연과 민경환(2007)이 King과 Emmons(1990)이 개발한 정서표현양가성 척도를 번안하고 타당화하였으나 제한점이 있어서 새로운 척도를 개발할 필요가 있었다. 심층면접을 통해 388 문항을 개발하였고 대학생과 전문가 평정을 거쳐 최종 61개 문항을 선정하였다. 탐색 요인분석에서 13개 문항이 추출되었으나 확인 요인분석 결과 새로 개발한 정서표현양가성 척도는 3개 요인의 11개 문항으로 구성하는 것이 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 새로 개발한 척도는 신뢰도와 타당도도 적합한 것으로 나타났으며 기존 정서표현양가성 척도보다 정서억제를 더 많이 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 본 연구에서 개발한 척도가 우리나라의 정서적 특성을 더 잘 설명한다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop and validate the scale for ambivalence over emotional expressiveness(AEE) based on Korean culture. Choi and Min(2007) translated the scale of AEE developed by King and Emmons(1990) into Korean and validated it but it had limitations, leading to the need for a new scale for AEE. 388 items were initially developed based on in-depth interviews, and 61 items were finally selected by the rating of college students and licensed counselors. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that 13 items were proper, and confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the scale for AEE had 11 items and 3 factors. The new AEE scale was proved to have validity and reliability. The new AEE scale explained more emotional suppression than the old AEE did. The results suggested that the scale developed in this study explained the emotional characteristics of Koreans more properly. The results of this study were discussed.
