한국판 상담에 대한 신념 척도: 대학생을 대상으로 한 교차 문화 타당성 검증

본 연구는 계획된 행동이론(Ajzen, 1991)에 근거해서 개발한 Ægisdottir와 Gerstein(2009)의 상담에 대한 신념(Beliefs About Psychological Services, BAPS) 척도를 한국 대학생들을 대상으로 타당화하였다. 문항은 문화적 타당성을 고려할 수 있도록 Gerstein(2011)의 STEP 방법을 활용하여 BAPS의 문항을 번안 및 역번안하고 전문가의 검토를 거친 문항(Kim et al., 2012)을 사용하였으며, 대학생들에게 설문을 실시하여 총 448명의 자료를 분석하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 상담 의도, 낙인 내성, 전문성의 3요인이 추출되었으며 원척도와 동일한 구성 요인을 보였다. 다만 낙인 내성에 속했던 한 문항이 상담의도로 분류되며 원척도와 차이를 보였다. 확인적 요인분석 결과로는 경쟁모형들에 비해 연구모형의 모형 적합도가 더 우수하였으며, ATSPPH 척도와의 높은 상관을 보여 수렴타당도가 확보되었다. 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의점과 제한점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study was to examine the validity of the Korean college student version of Beliefs about Psychological Services(BAPS) scale(Ægisdottir & Gerstein, 2009), which was developed based on TPB(Ajzen, 1991). We used the questionnaire(Kim et al., 2012), which was translated by experts and reviewed through the STEP method(Gerstein, 2011) to check cultural validity. The undergraduate students in South Korea responded to the survey. A total of 448 data were analyzed. Three factors(i.e., Intent, Stigma Tolerance, Expertness) were derived through the exploratory factor analysis. And they were the same factors as the original scale. But one item that belonged to Stigma Tolerance was categorized as an Intention of Counseling, and it was different from the original scale. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit of the research model was better than the competition models. BAPS score was highly correlated with the ATSPPH and convergent validity was secured. Based on the results, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
