본 연구는 여성 마약 중독자의 회복과정 및 그와 관련된 요인들을 탐색하여 여성 중독자들의 회복과정을 심층적으로 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적에 따라 단약 기간이 1년이상 10년 미만인 12명의 연구 참여자를 눈덩이표집을 통해서 모집하여, 근거이론 접근 방법으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 여성 마약 중독자들의 회복과정에서 40개의 개념과 19개의 하위범주, 8개의 범주가 도출되었다. 패러다임 모형을 통해 각 범주 간의 관계를 파악할 수 있었으며, 참여자들은 삶의 의미를 재구성하여 사회구성원으로 복귀하고자 하는 소망을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 여성 마약 중독자의 회복과정에 관한 시사점과 그 과정에 영향을 미치는 요인을 논의하였다. 나아가 여성 마약 중독자들의 중독적 특성과 회복과의 유기적인 연관성을 이해함으로써, 그들의 회복역량 강화를 위한 실제적인 자료를 제시하는데 상담학적 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to understand in-depth the recovery process of female drug addicts by investigating the recovery process of female drug addicts and related factors. For the purpose of this study, 12 research participants with a drug withdrawal period of more than 1 year and less than 10 years were recruited through snowball sampling, and grounded theory method was used to derive the results. As a result of categorization, 40 semantic units, 19 subcategories and 8 upper categories were derived. Through the paradigm model, the relationship between each category could be grasped, and the participants reconstructed the meaning of life and confirmed their desire to return as members of society. The implications of the recovery process of female drug addicts and factors affecting the process were discussed based on the results. This study results are meaningful in that it presented practical data for strengthening female drug addicts’ recovery capacity by understanding the organic relationship between the addictive characteristics and recovery.
