Abstract
Organochlorine pesticides (OCPs : heptachlor, heptachlor-epoxide, α/γ-chlordane, trans-nonachlor, p,p'-DDT /DDD/DDE, endosulfan/endosulfan-sulfate and α/β/γ-HCH) concentration in soil was measured in rural area of Anseong. The average concentration of p,p'-DDE and endosulfan-sulfate which was 0.354 and 1.159 (ng/ g dry soil) respectively was high, but other OCPs concentration which was below 0.104 (ng/g dry soil) was low, and OCPs residues in paddy field soil was higher than in farmland soil. OCPs concentration in mountain and ground soil which OCPs had not been sprayed directly was relatively lower than in agricultural land soil. The concentration of metabolites (such as heptachlor-epoxide, p,p'-DDE/DDD and endosulan-sulfate) of heptachlor, p,p'-DDT and endosulan was higher than that of their original components concentration. It is known that OCPs residues of Anseong rural area soil were lower than them of other countries.
