시각장애아동의 놀이다움(Playfulness) 특성 연구-놀이다움 평정척도 적용을 중심으로-

초록

본 연구의 목적은 시각장애아동의 놀이다움 특성을 알아보기 위하여 첫째, 놀이다움 평정척도에 시각장애아동이 반응한 문항반응과 피험자 반응이 Rasch측정 모델에 얼마나 적합한지를 알아보고 둘째, 시각장애아동의 놀이다움 특성 즉 동기근원, 통제지각, 현실감 부재, 참조체계 수준을 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구에 참여한 아동은 일반아동 26명(남 19명, 여 7명), 시각장애아동 26명(남 19명, 여 7명)으로 총 52명이다. 연구도구인 놀이다움 평정척도는 Bundy(2003)가 일반아동과 장애아동을 대상으로 제작한 버전 4.0을 적용하였다. 자료처리는 놀이다움 평정척도에서 얻어진 원점수를 Rasch 분석하여, 시각장애아동의 문항반응과 피험자반응 적합도를 조사하고, 일반아동과 시각장애아동이 놀이다움 평정척도에 반응한 문항반응 측정치 비교를 통하여 동기근원, 통제지각, 현실감 부재, 참조체계의 특성을 밝혔다. 본 연구를 통해 발견한 점은 첫째, 놀이다움 평정척도를 시각장애아동에게 적용한 결과 문항반응은 Rasch측정 모델에 96.55% 적합도를 보였고, 피험자 반응은 92.30% 적합도를 보였다. 둘째, 시각장애아동의 동기근원은 내적동기성향을 보였고, 통제지각은 내적. 외적 통제지각이 동시에 보였다. 현실감 부재능력은 일반아동과 시각장애아동이 유의미한 차이가 없었고 참조체계 능력은 자유롭게 사회적 단서를 언어로 주고받았다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was twofold. First, I examined validity of item response and person response of a Test of Playfulness(ToP) in children with visual impairments. Second, I examined the characteristics of the source of motivation, the perception of control, the suspension of reality and the framing, which are the factors of playfulness of the children with visual impairments. The subjects of this study were 52 children ranging in age from 45 to 134 months(26 children were normal development, 26 children were children with visual impairments). The ToP reflects four elements of play: the source of motivation, the perception of control, the suspension of reality and the framing. The ToP is an observational assessment administered during free play in familiar environments with familiar peers. ToP data were analyzed using Winstep, a computer program for Rasch analysis. The results of this study; the source of motivation of the children with visual impairments had more intrinsic motivation than normal development children. The perception of control of the children with visual impairments had internal and external perception of control. The suspension of reality and framing of the children with visual impairments appeared free.
