행동규제가 힘든 시설아동이 모래놀이치료를 통해 의식화 되는 과정에 관한 사례연구

본 연구는 영유아시기 모에 의해 맡겨져 시설에서 생활하는 행동규제가 힘든 4학년 남학생이 모래놀이치료를 통해 새로운 자각을 갖게 되는 의식화 과정을 다루었다. 내담자는 학교에서 수업시간에 운동장을 배회하고 의기소침하며 또래와 잘 어울리지 못하는 부적응 행동을 보여 학교 사회복지사에 의해 상담에 의뢰되었다. 모래놀이치료를 통해 어떤 변화과정을 거쳐 부적응 문제에서 자유롭게 되는지 심리검사, 모래놀이치료 과정과 학교와 시설의 보고로 살펴보았다. 본 사례는 총 55회기의 모래놀이치료가 이루어졌다. 상담초기(퇴행) 1-18회기에 내담자의 텅 빈 내면의 모습을 뼈시체와 아기공룡을 놓아 표현하고, 내담자는 벌인데 독거미와 겨루고, 영아기로 퇴행한 모습을 보인다. 상담중기(투쟁) 19-38회기에서 낚시놀이, 마트놀이로 사회성에 눈이 떠감을 보여주고, 병원놀이, 내담자의 5세 생일 축하 등 성취, 경주와 싸움을 이어간다. 상담말기(공동체로의 적응) 39-55회기에서는 요리를 하고, 약초를 가꾸고, 바이올린과 목탁 등 소리 나는 것들로 모래상자를 꾸미며 새로운 자각을 갖는 의식화 작업을 해간다. 온전한 집이 없었던 내담자는 집을 만들고, 현실에서 규제 안 되는 행동을 하는 자신을 체포하기도 한다. 친구들과 화합하고, 사람들과 노래하는 모습을 만들어 내적인 갈등이 풀리고, 내면의 세계가 조화를 이루어 모래놀이치료가 행동규제의 어려움을 지닌 부적응적인 시설아동에게 효과적임을 보여준다.
Abstract
This study explored how a 4th grade boy living in an institutional setting had the consciousness process through the sandplay therapy. The client was referred by a social worker in his school because he showed maladjustments such as loitering in the playground during class, peer relations difficulties owing to the lack of understanding and consideration, withdrawal and passivity. His behaviors were examined by psychological assessments, the process of sandplay, and reports from school and institution. There were 55 sessions of the therapy. The first part of the therapy(regression) included 1-18 session, the middle part(battle) 19-38, and the final part(adaptation to the collective) 39-55. In the first part of therapy he was regressed into his infancy where he lost appropriate touch and care from parents. During the middle part of the therapy he had struggles in fighting a monster man and in racing motorcycles. Finally. he finished his consciousness process by showing girls, an old couple and women singing together, that is, the adaptation to the collective. Through the sandplay therapy with the free and protected space the client had new consciousness.
