본 연구는 또래관계형성에 있어서 어려움을 겪고 있는 자녀의 문제로 어머니가 상담을 의뢰하여 개입한 가족치료 사례연구이다. 본 연구에 참여한 가족은 부모, 딸 2명, 아들 1명으로 구성된 5명의 가족이며, 상담은 총 16회 진행되었다. 본 연구는 16회기의 상담축어록과 상담 시 기록한 메모를 근거로 해서 형성된 범주들을 Miles와 Huberman(1994)이 제안한 매트릭스 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 자녀가 또래관계형성에 어려움을 겪는데 영향을 미치는 요인은 원가족에서 전수된 경험적 특성과 부부 간의 역기능적인 의사소통방식에서 비롯된 것이었다. 치료자는 치료과정에서 내담자 가족에게 원가족 경험에서 비롯된 갈등과 문제해결을 위해 시도해왔던 부모의 역기능적인 의사소통방식이 자녀와의 관계를 악화시켰음을 인식하게 하였다. 이와 같은 치료과정을 통하여 자녀는 점차 또래 간의 긍정적인 관계를 형성할 수 있게 되었으며, 가족구성원 개인과 가족관계의 변화가 나타났다.
Abstract
This is a case study of family therapy in which a mother has asked for consulting for child who are having difficulty in forming peer relationships. The family who participated in this study consisted of five family members consisting of two parents, two daughters and one son. The consultation was carried out 16 times. This study analyzed the categories formed on the basis of the notes recorded during consultation and the 16 counseling sessions using the matrix method proposed by Miles and Huberman(1994). Analysis revealed that the factors affecting the difficulty of forming peer relationships were the empirical characteristics found from the family of origin transmitted to the family and the dysfunctional communication method between the couple. Through these treatments, the child gradually became able to form positive relationships with their peers, and there occurred changes in family members' personal and family relationships.
