율곡 『聖學輯要』의 성왕론 - 『大學衍義』, 『聖學十圖』와 비교를 중심으로

Abstract

In this paper, I tried to clarify the coordinates of the King's theory of SonghakJibyoa(聖學輯要) by comparing with Daxueyanyi(大學衍義) of Jin Deok-su and Songhaksido(聖學十圖) of Toegye. Yulgok said that Daxueyanyi was enormous and wrote a to summarize the contents, but SonghakJibyoa has different characteristics from Daxueyanyi. Comparing the SonghakJibyoa and Daxueyanyi , if Daxueyanyi is the monarch-centered lord's textbook, SonghakJibyoa is a general-oriented moral textbook. However, the understanding of the sacred learning of Yulgok is different from that of Toegye. Toegye regarded the practice of mind as interpreting the study of man and the study of man as the fundamental and the end, and the rule of the country and the peace of the world would be realized by itself. This idea suggests that Toegye is approaching from the perspective of holy man. Yulgok thought the monarch was different from a Confucian scholar. The monarch must not only have a moral character, but also have the ability to rule over man. Yulgok critically synthesizes Daxueyanyi and Songhaksido through SonghakJibyoa, revealing that the identity of Confucianism lies in a journalist.
