호산 박문호의 『대학장구상설』 고찰

Abstract

This paper is a look into of the contents and their features of the Daehakjanggusangsul(『大學章句詳說』) of Hosan(Park, Moon-ho, 1946~1918). The characteristics of the Hosan's Daehakjanggusangsul that distinguishes it from the Zhuzi's Daehakjanggu(『大學章句』) are as follows: First, it is widely accepting of the views of not only the Chinese but also the a Confucian scholar of Joseon. The second is to clearly distinguish between Jungho and Jungyi of name. Thirdly, by emphasizing the role of a word survey or pronoun, the meaning of the context becomes clearer. Fourth is that the contents of the Daehakjanggu have been further deepened through the interpretation of 'Myungduk' and 'Mulkyuk'. In particular, what was important in Hosan's Daehakjanggusangsul was that it did not neglect any of its contents to grasp the meaning of the scriptures by letter. This led to the way he did his rigorous explanatory notes of work. This is the academic attitude of a true interpreter. That's why Hosan can be rated as the a cluster saint of Joseon's Gyeonghak history.
