급속한 고령화의 진전에 따라 중고령자의 고용 지원 및 직업능력개발을 통한 효율적 인력 활용은 기업과 국가사회 차원에서 중요한 과제로 부각되고 있다. 이에 이 연구는 만45세 이상 중고령자의 고용 및 직업능력개발에 관한 요구를 분석하여 그 결과를 기초로 중고령자의 직업능력개발 방안 모색을 목적으로 수행되었다. 보다 구체적으로는 중고령자를 채용하고자 하는 기업체를 대상으로 채용 및 교육훈련 요구를 파악하고, 중고령 구직자를 대상으로는 취업 요구와 취업 관련 교육훈련 요구를 조사하기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 자료 분석 결과를 중심으로 중고령자 직업능력개발 정책 및 관련 프로그램 개발에 함의점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
As the aging of the population has become a serious concern for the economic sustainability, issues regarding extending older workers' working life are highlighted in terms of employment of older people and helping them have an opportunity to maintain employability. Given the importance of tacit-knowledge transmission and exchange in a knowledge-based economy, the experience and potential of older workers should be recognized and valued as the greatest asset. In this sense, for older people to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills to reenter labor market, offering education and training to them is crucial. The support for skills development for older workers requires understanding of needs from companies which are willing to hire older employees as well as older people who would like to be employed. Thus, this study investigated needs regarding employment and education & training from companies and older job seekers and suggested implications for skills development for older workers based on the analysis results.
