초록

This article examines the identity of Bella Baxter in Poor Things through the framework of posthuman feminism and the nomadic subject, as developed by Rosi Braidotti. Bella, resurrected through Godwin Baxter’s experiments, transcends traditional humanist categories and challenges conventional ideas of femininity and human subjectivity. Through posthuman feminist analysis, this article explores how Bella embodies a nomadic subjectivity that is fluid, relational, and embodied, navigating her existence outside of rigid social norms, particularly those tied to gender and identity. Bella’s epistolary discourse reflects her experiences and further cements her identity as a posthuman nomadic subject, embracing transformation and multiplicity. This article illustrates how Bella’s journey disrupts fixed notions of identity and agency, positioning her as a powerful literary symbol of the posthuman nomadic subject.
