본 논문은 하이데거의 『존재와 시간』 속 ‘죽음분석’을 ‘전체성’이라는 관점에서 주목하고자 한다. 이것은 두 가지 순차적인 의도를 가지는데 첫 번째는 죽음의 전체성을 소위 ‘염려구조의 전체성’이라는 앞선 논의의 맥락 속에서 보다 분명히 하는 것이다. 이것은 죽음의 전체성을 염려구조의 존재론적인 전체성에서 조명하기 위한 것이다. 두 번째 의도는 이렇게 죽음의 전체성을 염려구조의 전체성에서 일관적으로 해석함으로써 죽음의 전체성을 『존재와 시간』의 특별한 의도와 연결 짓는 것이다. 논자는 『존재와 시간』의 근본의도를 소위 ‘현존재의 형이상학’이라고 주장하며 앞서 분석한 죽음의 전체성을 바로 이러한 현존재의 형이상학이라는 맥락에서 풀어낼 것이다. 이와 같은 주장은 『칸트와 형이상학의 문제』(1929), 「형이상학이란 무엇인가?」(1929)와 같은 관련 텍스트를 논거로 사용할 것이다.
Abstract
The present paper considers Heidegger’s “death analysis” in Being and Time from the perspective of “totality.” This has two intentions. The first intention is to make the totality of death clearer in the context of the so-called “totality of the structure of concern.” This will identify one exact meaning of the totality of death. The other intention is to connect the totality of death with the fundamental intention of Being and Time by consistently interpreting the totality of death in the totality of the structure of concern. The commentator will argue that the fundamental intention of Being and Time is the so-called “metaphysics of being there,” which will be argued through related texts such as The Problem of Kant and Metaphysics (1929) and What is Metaphysics? (1929).
