연구목적: 본 연구는 중국을 대표하는 용무(龍舞)인 동량용무(銅梁龍舞)에 대한 역사적 고찰을 통해 그 유형 및 독창적인 예술적 특징을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 중국 용문화에 대한 심층적인 이해를 도모하며, 나아가 문화다양성에 대한 예술적 인식을 한층 심화하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 문헌 분석 방법을 활용하여 국내외 선행연구 자료 및 중국 동량용무와 관련된 고대 서적 및 자료를 수집하여 정리한 뒤, 비교분석적 접근을 통해 동량용무의 각 유형을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 중국의 동량용무는 다양한 유형으로 구성되어 있으며, 크게 용등무(龍燈舞)와 채등무(彩燈舞)로 구분된다. 용등무에는 대연용, 화용, 대초용 등 총 10종의 유형이 포함되며, 채등무는 어등, 사등 등 12종의 채등을 주요 도구로 활용하여 향토적 분위기를 형성한다. 동량용무의 예술적 특징은 첫째, 동량용무의 동작 스타일은 중국 용 문화의 정신적 핵심을 계승함과 동시에, 민간 예술의 현대적 변용을 성공적으로 실현한 결과로 평가된다. 둘째, 동량용무의 반주 음악은 지역적 특색을 반영하는 문화적 기호로 발전하였다. 셋째, 소품의 디자인에는 중화민족 용 문화의 포괄성과 혁신성이 반영되어 있다. 결론: 동량용무는 중화민족 용 문화의 포괄성과 혁신성을 반영된 춤으로 중국 용무의 우수한 문화를 대표하는 요소로 자리 잡았다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to explore the historical origins of the TongLiang Dragon Dance within the Chinese Dragon Dance genre, analyze its types and artistic charicteristic, and thereby deepen the understanding of Chinese dragon culture while highlighting the artistic appeal of cultural diversity. Methods:Through literature analysis, this study collects and collates ancient texts and relevant materials concerning the Chinese Tongliang Dragon Dance, and applies comparative research methods to analyze its different types. Result: The Tongliang Dragon Dance exhibits rich typological diversity, categorized into two principal series: Dragon Lantern Dance and Colored Lantern Dance. Its artistic characteristics are manifested in three core dimensions: the dynamic performance style preserves Chinese dragon culture’s spiritual essence while facilitating traditional folk art’s modern adaptation; the accompanying music constitutes a regionally distinctive cultural symbol reflecting deep-rooted traditions; and the dragon prop designs integrate Chinese dragon culture’s comprehensive innovation, showcasing rich symbolic meanings. Conclusion: The Tongliang Dragon Dance is categorized into two major series and exhibits distinct artistic characteristics in terms of movement style, accompanying music, and prop design. Through the practice of dragon dancing, the people of Tongliang articulate their reverence for and eulogy of the dragon totem, as well as their blessings and aspirations for a prosperous life.
