이 연구는 예술화 과정으로 정착한 소수민족무용의 미적 특징을 밝힌 것이다. 오늘날 예술화된 소수민족의 작품은 <춤으로 만나는 아시아> 춤 축제를 사례로 적용하였다. 여러 소수민족 문화환경의 차이에 따라 춤의 의미와 종류가 다르게 나타나기 때문에, 민족 분포 별로 춤의 종류를 살펴보며 생활노동적, 상징적, 종교적인 의미를 담은 유형으로 나누었다. 연구과정은 민간에서 추던 소수민족무용을 전반적으로 조사한 후, 예술화 과정을 거친 소수민족무용의 작품을 <춤으로 만나는 아시아>에서 공연된 작품을 대상으로 연구·분석하였다. 소수민족별 춤의 내용에서 드러난 춤의 특성으로는 우아미와 자연미가 대표적으로 나타났다. 춤의 형식적인 면에서 보여지는 미적 특징으로 역동미, 우아미, 조화미 등이 대표적으로 나타났다. 소수민족무용은 각 지역의 민족적 성향을 가지고 있다. 그동안 민간에서 발생한 춤으로 전승 되어 오던 중, 신문화가 유입되고 예술화 과정을 거치며 내용과 형식의 미를 내재하여 신 고전무용화 되면서 더욱 발전되었다.
Abstract
This study illustrates the aesthetic traits that ethnic minority dances have developed as a result of the Artify process. Contemporary artistic creations by ethnic minority troupes are inspired by the "Meeting Asia through Dance’’ festival. The varieties of traditional ethnic dances were analysed and grouped into types with subsequent labour, symbolic, and religious connotations because the essence and types of each ethnic dance appear differently depending on their cultural environment and background. After conducting general research, we were able to examine the artistic process undergone by ethnic dances in "Meeting Asia through Dance." The qualities exhibited by ethnic minorities performances can be described as elegant and naturally beautiful. Aesthetic criteria like dynamism, elegance, and harmonic beauty were significant in terms of the formality of the dance, and each dance is a reflection of the national characteristics of its region of origin. While being handed down as entertainment that occurred in the private sector, ethnic minority dances followed a process of artisticization. They were further refined as they evolved to incorporate a new classical aesthetic inspired by the beauty of form and content infused in new paintings.
