학생들의 창조적 무용표현을 위한 인식적 토대를 확립ㆍ강화시킨다는 측면에서 무용작품의 미적 가치를 식별하기 위한 인식기능 및 관련 무용개념에 대한 연구의 필요성은 매우 큰 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 연구필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 무용작품의 미적 영역에 대한 특성을 토대로 무용작품의 미적 가치를 식별하기 위한 인식구조, 즉 인식기능 및 관련 무용개념을 도출하는데 연구목적을 두고 있다. 무용작품의 미적 가치를 식별하는 것은 작품에서 나타나고 있는 미적 특성에 대한 분석을 토대로, 작품의 의미를 해석하고, 가치를 평가하는 활동을 포함한다. 작품에 대한 해석과 평가는 작품에서 세부적으로 나타나고 있는 미적 특성에 대한 식별, 분석을 통해 이루어진다는 점에서 미적 가치의 식별 및 평가는 단계별 과정을 통해서 수행되며, 각 단계별로 일정한 기능이 요구된다. 본 연구에서 제시된 단계별 인식적 기능구조는 ①구성요소에 대한 식별 기능, ②구성요소 간의 관계성 식별 기능, ③미적 의미의 해석 기능, 그리고 ④미적 가치의 평가 기능이라는 네 단계의 단계적 기능으로 구성되며, 각 기능은 안무, 공연, 반응 및 평가라는 무용작품의 미적 영역과 관련된 개념을 토대로 수행되게 된다. 제시된 기능구조는 학생들이 무용작품의 미적 가치를 효과적으로 식별하고 그리고 관련된 기능을 획득, 강화하는데 직접적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
It is necessary to study the cognitive skill structure to identify aesthetic values in dance, for cognitive skills and related dance concepts may enhance students' base for creative dance expression. Therefore, based on the properties of dance realm, this study purposes to analyze and suggest the cognitive skill structure including skills and related dance concepts. To identify aesthetic values in dance, it is needed to analyze aesthetic properties of dance works, interpret dance meanings, and evaluate dance values. Because interpretation and evaluation are done through identifying and analyzing aesthetic properties in dance works, aesthetic appreciation of dance works is the stepwise process, where appropriate skills are required for each step. The stepwise structure, suggested in this study, consists of four skills: ① identifying skill of dance elements, ② identifying skill of the relationship among dance elements, ③ interpreting skill of aesthetic meanings, and ④ evaluating skill of aesthetic values. Each skill is operated with relevant concepts, being related to dance realm such as choreography, performance, response, and evaluation. It is expected that this skill structure can be used for students to acquire and develop relevant skills for dance appreciation.
