Abstract
On the basis of panel information for education reinvestors in the Korea Labor and Income Panel Survey (KLIPS), the this study consistently investigates the return to schooling by adjusting measurement error and controlling for individuals’ ability and selectivity bias. Our estimation results find that the return to schooling may be over-estimated in the previous studies because they do not control for two econometric issues at the same time. Also we show that return to schooling is positively associated with the stability of employment. We have the implication that our approach will be more helpful than the existing cross-sectional approach in terms of making schooling decisions.
