디자인산업 통계조사 개선방안 연구: 산업의 범위와 분류 체계를 중심으로

Abstract

This study examines the scope of the design industry in the Korea Design Statistical Data Survey and analyzes the structure of the survey report. The design industry should be defined as the sum of the following: firms engaged in specialized design activities as proposed by the Korea Standard Industrial Classification, firms that provide design services or design consulting, and freelance designers. As the existing Customized Classification of the Design Industry has been used in the classification of firms that utilize design, it should be reorganized as a classification standard for the design industry. This will lead to the expansion of the role of the survey in terms of producing functional statistics of the design industry without sacrificing its role as a promoter of design.
