연구방법 : 2014년 1월 1일부터 2024년 1월 1일까지 PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL의 데이터베이스를 통해 (“Social isolation” OR “Loneliness” OR “Ostracism” OR “Social Alienation” OR “Social Deprivation” OR “Cultural Deprivation” OR “Psychosocial Deprivation”) AND (“adults” OR “grown-ups” OR “grownup” OR “grownups” OR “adult”) AND (“program” OR “intervention”)을 주요 용어로 하여 검색하였다.
Abstract
Objective : The study aim was to systematically analyze intervention programs designed to alleviate social isolation among middle-aged adults. The goal was to lay the foundation for research on social isolation across various age groups. Methods : A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, EMBASE, and CINAHL databases from January 1, 2014, to January 1, 2024, using such keywords as “Social isolation,” “Loneliness,” “Ostracism,” “Social alienation,” “Social deprivation,” “Cultural deprivation,” and “Psychosocial deprivation,” combined with “adults,” “grown-ups,” and “program” or “intervention.” Seven studies were selected for analysis. Results : Six of the seven studies were randomized controlled trials with Level I evidence. The majority of participants were females, and the UCLA-LS-3 was the most commonly used assessment tool. Internet-based online interventions were the most frequently used program type. All but one study demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in loneliness after the intervention. Conclusion : This study underscores the need for continued research on social isolation intervention and provides foundational evidence for the development of effective programs targeting diverse age groups.
