Abstract

A moral code that is generally and indispensably applied is a basic requirement for a personality that has the nature of 'must-do' and normative nature to which also every social member is required to obey, and it is not depending on each individual's interest. Therefore, the public service nature of personality is needed so that each individual can do the best to fulfill their own obligations following the moral code that is applied generally and indispensably to each individual according to their own capability no matter which field they are involved in. The public service nature is not to highly think of personal vision, benefit or value simply but to highly consider of public vision, benefit or value. Confucianism calls a fully matured personality based man or leader a Gunja. Gunja claims to stand for public service nature in his behavior or political consciousness based on his own moral code. He discloses the public service nature of his personality by devoting himself to the nation and society with a mind concentrated on working for the people while being matured internally through Jing(敬: Peaceful Mind) and completing himself externally through Yi(義: Justice).
