지방 예술대학 무용과의 위기 극복을 위한 모색

이 연구는 현 정부의 대학구조개혁 정책과 관련하여 지방 예술대학 무용과가처한 위기 상황을 인식하고 내부적，외부적 원인을 분석함으로써 대안을 모색하고자 하였다. 우선 예술계와 예술대학이 처한 위기적 실태를 여러 가지 통계 자료를 통하여 살펴보았다. 연구 방법으로는 질적 연구 방법으로서 지방 예술대학무용학과에 재직 중인 3명의 교수들과의 인터뷰를 통한 분석 방식을 취하였고위기의 원인，대안적 접근，발전적 모색 등 3가지 구조화된 영역의 질문을 공통의 질문으로 하여 서면인터뷰，1〜2회에 걸친 심층인터뷰를 진행하였다. 지방 예술대학 위기의 원인으로는 학령 인구의 감소，수도권 집중화 현상，낮은 취업률， 예체능교육에 대한 사회적 무관심과 폐쇄적인 교수 사회，현실을 반영하지 못한대학 커리큘럼의 문제 등이 지적되었다. 이를 극복하기 위한 방안으로는 대학의전문화，특성화가 필요하다는 점，문화예술과 무용에 대한 사회적 관심을 높이고예체능교육을 활성화함으로써 예술의 수요와 공급을 모두 증대하여야 한다는 점이 논의되었다. 보다 거시적인 관점에서 예술대학이 앞으로 나아가야 할 지향점으로는 대중 예술 등 다른 분야와의 소통을 활발히 함으로써 예술의 외연을 확장하고 예술대학들이 서로 연대하여야 한다는 점，예술계가 정부의 정책에 보다 관심을 갖고 관여해야 한다는 점을 논하였다.
Abstract
This study recognizes the crisis of dance department of local art colleges in connection with university restructuring policies and tries to search for the way to overcome it. To begin with, this essay analyses the statistical data on the crisis of arts and local university of arts. This paper takes dialogue analysis by interviewing the three professors of local university of arts. Firstly, the written interview with structural questions of 3 sectors is held-① the causes of crisis,② alternative perspectives and approaches,③ seeking for development. Secondly, I mainly proceeded the secondary interview based on the structural questions. The causes of crisis are the reduction in the number of students, the concentration on the capital area, low employment rate, social indifference toward art and physical education, exclusive professor group and the curriculum which is out of touch with reality. Belows are the ways that may overcome these problems' specialization and characterization of each college, increasing the demand and supply for art by growing the social interest in art/culture and by revitalizing the art and physical education. With the big picture, art colleges have to expand the scope by interacting with other fields such as public art, be in solidarity with other art colleges and participate in the art policy.
