예비교사의 소통 능력 향상을 위한 내러티브 활용 방안 탐구

초록

본 연구는 스마트 시대라 불리는 21세기에 교사의 전문성은 소통능력이라 전제하고 교원양성 교육과정에서부터 예비교사들의 소통능력을 신장시키기 위한 방안으로 내러티브 활용 교육을 제안하였다. 내러티브는 인간과 인간의 삶을 이해하는 방식으로 개별적인 경험과 사건을 유의미하게 연관 짓는 전체적인 이야기 구조로 이해될 수 있으며 소통능력과 불가분의 관계에 있다. 그동안 예비교사들이 교원양성 교육과정의 일부로 전공 및 교양 과목과 더불어 공통으로 이수해야하는 교직이론과목은 방대한 양의 이론적 지식을 전달하는데 그친다는 지적을 받았다. 이에 본 연구는 기존의 설명 위주 강의 방식을 개선 및 보완하며 학습자들의 소통 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 내러티브 활용 방안을 탐색하였다.

Abstract

Teachers' professionalism in the 21st century called 'smart era' requires communicative skills. Student teachers should be encouraged to improve their communicative skills so as to be qualified teachers. Those skills can not be separated from ‘narrative’, an easy and powerful way to understand people and their lives by making isolated events connected with each other. One of curricula student teachers should complete is educational theory including educational psychology, philosophy, sociology, engineering, evaluation, curriculum, etc. Those subjects have been focused on conveying knowledge to students, which means student teachers as passive learners try to understand instructors and textbooks. Thus this research is to review narrative approaches and examine narrative use in order to improve student teachers' communicative skills while they learn academic knowledge.
