본 연구에서는 한 초등학교 6학년 담임교사의 진로교육 경험을 소재로 하여, 진로지도기간 전후로 일어나는 보람과 고민 등을 알아보고, 이것을 극복하는 과정을 통하여 심화되어 나타나는 진로지도의 전문성을 자기 이야기(self-narrative)라는 연구방법을 활용하여 심층적으로 기술하였다. 이러한 과정에 따라 나타난 결과는 진로는 학생 이해부터 출발해야 하며, 교사의 관심과 학생의 열정이 조화를 이룰 때 비로소 의미를 가질 수있다. 또한 진로교육은 6학년과 같은 특정 학년에서만 지도하기에는 다소의 한계를 가지고 있으며 범교과 차원의 교육과정 구성을 통해서 실시되는 것이 보다 가치있는 진로교육이 될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The study examined worthiness and worries that occurred before and after carer guidance periods focused on experience about carer education of sixth grade teachers and described the professionalism of carer guidance shown throughout the process by using self-narrative research method. The result shown from these processes should be initiated from understanding of students and is given a special significance if the interest of teachers and passion of students are in harmony. Carer education is limited in that it teaches only for specific grades, such as sixth grades, and thus the education should be implemented in cross-curricular level to be valuable carer education than that of implementation through curriculum.
