소송본문(고전 6:1-11)에 대한 바울의 윤리적 이해: 고린도전서 5:1-13과 6:12-20과의 관계성을 중심으로

초록

오늘날 많은 교회와 그리스도인들이 믿지 않는 자들에게 비판의 대상이 되고 있다. 많은 원인들이 있겠지만, 그 중의 하나는 바로 도덕적 해이라고 할 수 있다. 그리스도인들은 자신의 행동을 근거로 신앙적인 삶을 보여주기 때문에 믿음이 있는 자들은 그들의 삶 또한 경솔히 여겨서는 안 된다. 또한 신자의 행동이 수반되기 위해서는 반드시, 신자는 ‘신자가 어떤 존재인가?’에 대한 그리스도인의 정체성을 인지해야 한다. 왜냐하면 행함(doing)은 언제나 존재의 가치(being)를 깨달을 때에 시작되기 때문이다. 이러한 맥락에서, 고린도전서도 교회 공동체 내에서 일어난 다양한 윤리적 문제들을 다루고 있다. 바울은 고린도 교회의 성도들이 직면한 여러 문제 앞에서 드러낸 자신들의 행동이 그리스도인의 삶과 윤리에 밀접한 관련이 있다는 사실을 알게 한다. 이러한 시각에서 본다면, 우리는 ‘소송 본문’으로 알려진 고린도전서 6장 1절-11절을 소송자체가 아닌 그리스도인의 윤리적인 삶에 강조점을 두어 살펴봄으로써, 이 본문을 통해 바울이 말하고자 하는 의도를 조금 더 구체적으로 다가갈 수 있지 않을까 생각한다. 따라서 본 논문은 고린도전서 5-6장에 나타나고 있는 세 가지 사건-근친상간, 법정 소송, 음행-에 대해서 간단히 생각해보고, 윤리적 접근을 통해 소송본문을 통해 이야기하고자 하는 바울의 의도를 파악하고자 한다.

Abstract

Today, many churches and Christians are being criticised by unbelievers. There are many causes, but one of them is moral hazard. Because Christians show their religious lives based on their actions, believers should not take their lives lightly, either. In addition, in order to be accompanied by the act of a believer, the believer must be aware of the identity as a Christian of who a believer is. Because ‘doing’ always begins when one realizes the value of ‘being’. In this context, the first letter to Corinthians also deal with a variety of ethical issues within the church community. Paul learns that their behaviour before the many problems faced by the believers are closely related to the life and ethics of Christians. From this point of view, Paul intends to say more specifically through the text by focusing on the ethical lives of Christians, not the lawsuits itself, in 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 known as ‘the text on litigation’. Therefore, this paper briefly looks at the three events in chapter 5-6 of 1 Corinthians-incest, lawsuit, obscene conduct-and tries to understand Paul’s intention to speak through the text of the lawsuit with an ethical approach.
