코로나19는 교회에 많은 고통을 안겨줬지만, 긍정적인 영향력 도 끼쳤다. 예를 들어, 교회로 하여금 자신의 정체성과 사명을 다시 생각하게 했고, 기도의 중요성을 다시금 깨닫게 함으로써 기도하게 했다. 또한 온라인예배가 필수적으로 되면서, 더 이상 온라인 사용 여부가 아니라 활용방안을 놓고 고민하도록 만들었 다. 이러한 상황에서, 본 논문은 교회의 정체성과 사명, 공동 기 도, 온라인 활용방안을 통합적으로 살펴보면서 온라인 매일공중 기도를 제안한다. 다시 말해, 본 연구는 찬양과 중보기도에 방점 을 둔 매일공중기도가 교회를 하나님 나라의 제사장 공동체로 형 성하고 교화하는 일에 도움이 되고 필요하다고 주장하면서, 온라인 기반의 매일공중기도의 활성화를 위한 몇 가지 방안을 제안한 다. 이를 위해, 본 논문은 보완재라는 개념의 관점으로 오프라인 과 온라인의 장단점을 살펴보고, 주일예배와 매일공중기도가 보 완재로 이해되고 실천되어야 함을 주장한다. 교회의 두 가지 기 도 방식인 교회적 기도와 수도원적 기도의 차이를 설명한 후, 찬 양과 중보기도에 좀 더 초점을 맞춘 매일공중기도의 회복이 필요 한 신학적 이유를 교회의 정체성과 사명, 개혁주의생명신학의 관 점으로 논의한다. 그리고 오늘날 상황에서 온라인이 매일공중기 도를 회복하고 활성화하는 좋은 도구가 될 수 있다고 주장한 후, 온라인 매일공중기도를 고안하고 실행할 때 고려해야 하는 몇 가 지 실천적인 원리와 방향성을 제안한다.
Abstract
COVID-19 has caused lots of pain in the churches. But it has also had positive impacts on them. For example, COVID-19 made churches rethink their identity and mission and re- acknowledge the importance of prayer and caused them to pray more. Also, as online worship became essential, churches came to think about how to use online effectively rather than whether to use it. In such context, this paper proposes online-based daily public prayer by comprehensively examining the identity and mission of the church, corporate prayer, and online utilization. In other words, this paper argues that daily public prayer com- posed chiefly of praise and intercession is helpful and necessary to edify the church as the priestly community for the Kingdom of God and provides some suggestions for recovery and revital- ization of online-based daily public prayer. For this purpose, this study first examines offline and online from the perspective of the concept of complementary goods, then discusses that Sunday worship and daily public prayer should also be understood and practiced from that perspective. After explaining the differences between the traditional two ways of praying: cathedral and mo- nastic prayers, this paper theologically argues that the church needs to recover the cathedral types of daily public prayer, which is focused more on praise and intercession, in terms of the church’s identity and mission and Reformed Life Theology. After insisting that online could be a great tool to recover and revitalize daily public prayer, this paper presents some practical principles and directions when designing and practicing only dai- ly public prayer.
