论朝鲜后期朱子学从“实理”到“实事”的嬗变

Abstract

Whenever Confucianism met the bottleneck in its development in history, there was always a common trend led by its advocators. These advocators actively propagated the idea of practical learning, which is the fundamental principle of Confucianism. It was no accident that the practical learning could be flourished in the Late Joseon. There were two factors led to the phenomenon. One was the role of social political economy. The other was the self-reflection and transformation of Neo-Confucianism. The Neo-Confucianism from the late Koryo period to the early Joseon Dynasty would resolve the problems from the perspective ofShili(實理) . On the flip side, the scholars in the Late Joseon bore the emotion of salvation and making up malpractice in society. Preferring the academic attitude that applied learning to practical problems, used everything to secure a better livelihood for people and sought truth from facts, they would handle the practical problems in society at that time in light of practical learning.
