지금까지 네트워크 형성과 유지에 있어서 인기도와 이행성은 긍정적으로논의되어 왔다. 그러나 네트워크의 발전과정에서 인기도는 특정기관에 대한의존성을 증가시키는 한편, 이행성은 사회자본을 약화시켜 오히려 네트워크의 유지에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이행성 및 인기도구조적 변수가 상황에 따라 네트워크 지속에 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를검증하고자 하였다. 분석결과 크게 2가지 시사점을 확인할 수 있었다. 이행성의 결과는 네트워크의 지속성에 부(-)의 관계를 지니는 것으로 확인되어 이행성의 관계가 네트워크의 단절에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 확인하였으며, 인기도의 결과 역시 네트워크의 지속성에 부(-)의 관계성을 확인하여인기가 많은 소위 명성에만 의존하는 기관은 장기적으로 고용지원 서비스망을 지속하는데 부정적이라는 것을 확인하였다. 이론적 검토를 통해 비판적으로 제안한 2가설 모두 검증결과 기각되지 않았다는 점에서 향후 추가적인 검증이 이루어질 필요가 있다.
Abstract
It has been suggested that both transitivity and popularity play important roles in building and sustainability of networks. However, they do not always have positive effects on network: on the one hand, transitivity can lower social capital; and on the other hand, popularity can increase dependency on particular organizations. Therefore, the present paper examines whether transitivity and popularity negatively affect network through the case of employment support program provided by the Busan local government. Using ERGM analysis, the results indicate that both transitivity and popularity hinder the network continuity unlike previous studies. We suggests policy implications based on the empirical results.
