Abstract

In order to understand the diversity of speech acts (and at the same time, it is also the diversity of constructions of meaning) realized by a subject, it would be insufficient only to analyze the system of langue. It is absolutely necessary to consider synthetically the problem of language relating with acts of the subject according to the backgrounds of various cultural factors. In this essay, we study the relation between "linguistic expression" and "speech acts" in Japanese language through the analysis two Japanese corpora in different genres: "ordinary conversation" and "stump oratory of an election candidate", based on the dialogic theory of Frédéric François who developed the theory of Bakhtine.
