단절된 공간, 불온한 시선 - 唐代 女性詩人 魚玄機의 삶과 시 -

Abstract

In Chinese traditional era, there was an idea that talented women would be miserable. Yu, Xuanji(魚玄機), therefore, a woman poet of Tang is a representative of the miserable woman. Male critics didn't have enough mention about her literary talent and production, but they had a deep interest in her unhappy life. In addition, sometimes they regarded her as a symbol of lewdness, jealousy and cruelty. That was a warning to the contemporary talented female writers. From the Yu's poem, the researcher(I) found the possibilities of female writing in Chinese classical poetry. In her works, there are estranged spaces, and the improper gaze to the beyond the boundary of the world. Estranged spaces means men's compulsion of silence, obedience and absence of women, so women felt inactive and painful in her chamber. However, Yu refused to stay home, longed for the outside. Windows, doors, and opened curtains are represented her desire. She wanted to look through the window, and join the male world. So men regarded her as a menace, and hurled abuse at he.Female writing didn't have been paid attention in such a long years. Because men monopolized the language, and moreover everybody thought that female writings were not so good as much as male's. That means men has their own aesthetic standards, and apply them to everyone(including women). Recently, many feminist critics insist that the standard is the biased opinion. So we need a new framework to interpret the literary work. The researcher think that this study will be a small step toward the new paradigm.
