초록

Recently, imported bituminous coals used in coal-fired power plants are pulverized into finer particles in order to increase combustion efficiency. So it is difficult to obtain high grade ash. But in some plants, coarse particles are produced by cyclone reject during the classification process of fly ash. Therefore in this study, production possibilities of high grade ash were confirmed by performing an experiment using conductive induction with cyclone reject. As a result, below 1% LOI with above 80% recovery high grade ash was obtained, but in the case of unburned carbon there was a difficulty during separation due to fine particle ash inside the unburned carbon. These facts were verified by SEM microscope photographs and EDS analysis.
