성공적 노화지각에 따른 실버타운에 대한 소비자기대 비교: 중년후기 교원을 대상으로

Abstract

The purposes of the study is firstly giving prospect for how and in which direction the silver town must be develop in the future and then as the result letting the older people of the coming age enjoying the happy life of their old age. For this purpose, the teachers who live in Busan and are over 50 years old have been examined in this study, and total 300 copies of questionnaire were used for the final analysis. For the measurement of successful aging, the 83 questions for ‘successful aging’ developed by Professor Choi Hye-Kyong(2005) have been used with modification, and for the research for expectation and attitudes of silver town the questionnaire equipped by three groups of problem had been applied. The major results of this research are as follows. Firstly, in the cognition and value evaluation of the successful aging ,the teachers of middle age considered both sides, the subjective and objective side, and emphasized on aspect of future than of past. They also stand on self-centered attitude than on other-centered to see what the successful aging and regard outer elements as health and wealth than inner elements as peace and happiness as more important. Lastly, they accepts the theory of disengagement as rational one to explain the aging against other theories as theories of continuity, activity, and role. By the way, the expectation and consciousness of the teachers on silver town are inquired in two group of stability-directed group and growth- directed group. The socio-demographic differences of gender and age also had been considered. Firstly, both men and women show their common interests in dwelling or silver town for old age and like the urban and suburban styles of silver town, but the women of stability- directed group among them prefer the urban dwelling mostly. While men like silver town of governmental style, women prefer silver town of private or religious organizations. Secondly, more the age is old, more financial and real problem as way of possession and location they have interest. But, the relative younger men and women are interesting in scale of silver town and services which it offers. Thirdly, the stability-directed group than the growth-directed orient toward the urban-centered life style, whereas the growth-directed group relatively like the nature-centered life style. Fourth, both groups considered medical facilities as hospital as the most important element in their lives in the silver town.
