초록

Traditionally, anatomy education has been viewed as a discipline focused primarily on structural knowledge and technical competence. However, recent trends in medical education emphasize the need to cultivate empathy, ethical reasoning, and professional identity from the onset of training. This narrative review explores the convergence of anatomy education and medical humanities (MH). It examines how integrating humanities—such as ethics, narrative medicine, and visual arts—into anatomy curricula can support the development of the "whole physician." The review identifies three major shifts: (1) the humanization of anatomical learning through donor ceremonies and structured reflection; (2) the evolution of pedagogy towards integrated, longitudinal humanities threads; and (3) the intersection of digital innovation (VR, AR, AI) with humanistic goals. While digital tools are often seen as technical aids, they are increasingly being used to stage ethical scenarios and personalized learning experiences. Anatomy is transforming from a purely cognitive domain into a formative space for professional identity. The future of anatomy education lies in a hybrid model that preserves the embodied, relational depth of cadaveric dissection while harnessing immersive technologies to broaden access and engagement.
