디지털시대 국민 독서증대를 위한 문학라디오 활성화 방안 연구－≪문학FM≫ 라디오와 인터넷을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to draw out some discussion issues in relation to the new adoption of Literature FM radio and Internet service in Korea. The present study attempted to analyze the recognition of pre audiences about the literature FM radio and the internet service, the legal status of Literature FM radio and Internet service and its programming principle, and the internet service strategies of Literature FM radio on the internet. The theoretical perspectives of this study is based on ‘participation in the symbolic production field’ in Bourdieu's cultural sociology and ‘public sphere’ in Habermas' communication theory. And some of the findings are as follows: 1. Many respondent(51.6%) of all respondents are agree with the establishment of the literature FM radio and internet service. The survey evidences that respondents' favorite literature programs are ‘literature information services(25.8%)’, ‘literature news and literary man interview(12.4%)’, ‘literature discussion(10.3%)’, and ‘novel drama (9.9%)’. 2. It is necessary to define literature FM radio and the internet service as a kind of alternative media, the third sector media. The third sector literature FM radio and the internet service are different from mass media in terms of the combination public subsidiary funding system and market competition system. 3. 2. In order to function as ‘Public sphere’ and ‘participation in the symbolic production’, the literature FM radio and internet service needs to establish stable funding system and independent management system. Korean government can support Literature FM radio and Internet service financial resources and assistance of content production. But Literature FM radio and Internet service doesn't belong to the economic system area but the communication area in life world. In short, most of symbolic production is made by a few elite groups engaged in mass media and new media who monopolize symbolic production means. If the literature FM radio and internet service is defined as the third sector service, audiences can have more chance to participate in symbolic production such as a literature writing and a producing literature radio program.
