초록
The term local extinction is widely used both domestically and internationally. This study recognizes the severity of local extinction and conducts a variety of quantitative analyses focusing on public perception of the severity of the issue. The research methodology involves an email survey targeting a panel of 1,500 individuals, randomly assigned by gender, age, and region. The data will be analyzed using various quantitative analysis techniques using SPSS 27.0. The results of the study show that, first, the initial survey on awareness of local extinction revealed a high level of awareness related to "low birth rate" and "aging population." Second, the average analysis results revealed differences across groups in the perception of the severity of local extinction and its perceived role as a local problem. Third, the perception of the severity of local extinction was greater among men, older generations, those with higher education, and those with higher incomes. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for proactive policy responses.
