중년여성 목회자의 스트레스 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

본 연구는 중년여성 목회자들이 목회사역을 하며 겪는 스트레스 경험에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 목회현장에서 스트레스를 경험한 6명의 중년여성 목회자를 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 이를 현상학적 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 4개의 구성요소와 10개의 하위구성요소, 32개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 중년여성 목회자는 다음과 같은 스트레스를 경험하였다. 첫째, 가족관계에서 역할갈등을 경험하였고, 가족보다 사역이 우선순위가 되어 가족관계에서 스트레스를 받는 것으로 드러났다. 둘째, 과도한 업무와 여성목회자로서 받는 차별, 목회자라는 선입견과 목회구조에 따른 어려움 때문에 사역으로 인한 스트레스를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 여성목회자로서 자신감 부족과 미래에 대한 불안, 스트레스 해소 방법의 부재로 인해 개인내적 스트레스를 경험하였다. 넷째, 관계에서 오는 무력감으로 인해 대인관계 스트레스를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 중년여성 목회자의 스트레스 경험에 대한 요인을 분석하고 그에 따른 대안을 마련하는 것이 본 연구의 의의이다.
Abstract
This study is organized to know the stress which the middle-aged women pastors experienced carrying out their works. To achieve the goal, six middle-aged women pastors who experienced stress in their pastoral sites were interviewed in depth and analyzed by applying the phenomenological method. The result of the study is presented in 4 components, 10 sub-components, and 32 semantic elements. The results of the study on the experience of stress presented by middle-aged women pastors are as follows. The first, they experienced role-conflicts in their family relationships and stresses caused by priority between work and family. The second, they experienced ministerial stresses caused by excessive work, discrimination as a woman pastor, prejudice about the pastor and structural contradiction of ministry. The third, they presented the inner-experienced stresses caused by the lack of self-confidence as a woman pastor, anxiety about the future and the lack of stress reliever. The fourth, they experienced interpersonal stress caused by the feeling of helplessness about relationships. This study on stresses the middle-aged women pastors experienced was performed comprehensively and It is meaningful that thanks to the study, we understand a little more about the middle-aged woman pastor on the base of the results.
