유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 자존감과 결혼만족도의 관계:아버지 양육참여와 부부갈등의 매개효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 자존감과 결혼만족도의 관계를 살펴보고 아버지 자존감과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 양육참여와 부부갈등의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 했다. 한국아동패널 자료를 활용하여 만3세 유아의 아버지 1,580명의 자료를 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 20.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 아버지 자존감이 높을수록, 아버지의 양육참여가 많을수록 아버지가 지각하는 부부갈등이 낮을수록 아버지의 결혼만족도는 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지 자존감은 결혼만족도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치고 양육참여와 부부갈등을 매개로 간접적 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 양육참여는 아버지 자존감이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 과정에 유의미한 부분매개역할을 수행했고, 아버지 자존감이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 부부갈등을 매개로 유의미한 이중매개 변인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 부부갈등은 아버지 자존감이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 과정에 유의미한 부분매개 역할을 수행했다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of fathers’ self-esteem with father’s marital satisfaction mediated by parenting participation and marital conflict. The firth annual data of Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) (1,580 father with children between 35 months and 48 months) conducted by the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education was utilized as the subject of the study. The data analysis was conducted with SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0. Data were analyzed by means, standard deviation, Cronbach’s α tests, Pearson’s correlation, and estimated a structural equation model. The results of the study was as follows. First, was father’s self-esteem highly correlated with parenting involvement, marital conflict and marital satisfaction. Second, the paths of the structural model the results reported that the fathers’ self-esteem contribute to father’s marital satisfaction mediated by parenting participation and marital conflict. Father’s marital satisfaction had four different pathways composed of direct and indirect effects of father’s self-esteem, parenting participation, and marital conflict. Third, parenting participation significantly double-mediated between father’s self-esteem and father’s marital satisfaction and marital conflict mediated between father’s self-esteem and marital satisfaction.
